Republic of Texas Battle of Gonzales fantasy stamps, set of five

Price: $2.49

The Republic of Texas never produced its own postage stamps, but if it had, it might have commemorated the first anniversary of the Battle of Gonzales with something like this set of commemorative fantasy labels. They feature a reproduction of the design of the flag that Texans used during that battle.

This set of five stamps includes five different denominations that match actual postage rates in the early days of the Republic of Texas.
