US Scott C25 6¢ Transport Plane on cover mailed from Edsell Graves to Miss Glee Hume of Burkesville, Kentucky, in 1944. A quick search reveals that Miss Hume was a teacher at Burkesville High School, while Mr. Graves survived the war and returned to Burkesville, where he died in 2007.

In addition to stylish printed “air mail” lettering on front and reverse, cover bears “Passed by Naval Censor” handstamp.

Cover has numerous flaws including water stain on front, discoloration, edge damage, and so forth.
