Forest
British Columbia, Canada
Approximately 60% of British Columbia is covered by forests, and close to one-seventh of those 200,000 square miles of wooded land is protected.1 2 British Columbia boasts a wide variety of trees and forest types; among the most notable are a quarter of the world’s temperate rainforests, which are home to the province’s official tree, the western redcedar.3
