Bischofsmütze

Salzburg, Austria

Located near the village of Filzmoos in Salzburg, Bischofsmütze has a very distinctive appearance from which it gets its name.^{1 2} Each of the mountain’s peaks resembles a miter, a hat worn by Catholic bishops.³

The higher of Bischofsmütze’s summits, which stands more than 8,050 feet tall, was first climbed in 1879.
