Newest Member of Family Pictured on Philosateleian Post Stamp

—Call her a special delivery! H.R.H. Princess Hadassah arrived somewhat earlier than expected, but she already has her very own local postage stamp. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Philosateleian Post issued the diamond-shaped stamp on October 22 to celebrate the new baby’s birth a few weeks earlier.

“Getting to witness my first child being born, getting to hold her for the first time and look at her tininess—it was all absolutely amazing,” says Kevin Blackston, proprietor of Philosateleian Post. “She’s an absolutely beautiful baby, and Sarah [her mother] and I couldn't be more thrilled to finally meet her.”

When asked to comment on the new stamp bearing her likeness, her Highness, who weighed 5 pounds, 6 ounces at birth, said nothing, presumably rendered speechless by the honor.

“This is really a special way for Philosateleian Post to conclude its stamp program for this year,” says the new father. “We’re looking forward to 2015 and what it holds in store.”
