China
China, which covers over 7.3 million square miles of Earth’s surface, is the fourth largest country in the world.1 This vast territory encompasses everything from mountains and deserts to well-watered deltas, and gives China what The World Factbook describes as an “extremely diverse” climate.
The design of the Taiwanese stamp shown here is based on a landscape painting by Madame Chiang Kai-shek, the wife of the longtime president of China and Taiwan.2 3
