Amanohashidate
Kyōto Prefecture, Honshū, Japan
Also known as the “Bridge to Heaven,” Amanohashidate is a sandbar that stretches for more than two miles across Japan’s Miyazu Bay.1 The sandbar, which is covered by pine trees, is regarded as one of Japan’s three most scenic sites.2 3
