Erzgebirge
Czech Republic/Germany
Erzgebirge is a mountain range that marks the boundary between Saxony and Bohemia in eastern Germany before crossing the border into the Czech Republic.1 2 Erzgebirge means “ore mountains,” and mining was historically an important industry in the region. Today, tourists appreciate over 3,000 miles of hiking trails that run through the area’s forests.3
