Eiríksjökull

Eiríksjökull is a glacier that covers nearly 8.5 square miles of the top of one of Iceland’s largest table mountains.1 Mountain climbing and skiing are both popular activities there, but participants are well advised to exercise caution: the cliffs that make up the sides of the mountain plunge as much as 2,000 feet to the ground below.2
