Cape Sounion
Attica, Greece
Located at the tip of the Attica Peninsula southeast of Athens, Cape Sounion is best known for the ruins of the pagan temple of Poseidon, which was built nearly 2500 years ago.1 From the top of Cape Sounion, visitors can also watch each evening as the sun sets beautifully into the Aegean Sea.2
