The Bluff

Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands

The Gaelic word “brac” means “bluff,” and it is The Bluff at Cayman Brac’s eastern end that gives the island its name.¹ The limestone cliff rises 140 feet above the surface of the Caribbean; from its top, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea, while the face of the cliff itself is popular with rock climbers.^{2 3}
