In what condition are the stamps listed in the trading post?
Unless otherwise noted, they are used. Most are in average to fine condition, but a few can only be called "space fillers." I'll scan the stamps you request so you can see any obvious defects and decide if you still want to trade.
How many stamps can I request in a single trade?
As many as you like, but I give requests for less than 100 stamps priority over larger orders. If you need a large number of stamps, you may wish to request some of them, then request others after we complete the first exchange.
How many stamps do I have to send?
Two used stamps for each stamp you request. I also ask that you send enough mint U.S. postage to cover the cost of mailing, usually 42¢ to U.S. addresses. (If you live outside the U.S. and don't have mint U.S. stamps, we'll work out some other arrangement.)
Why do I have to send twice as many stamps as you send to me?
You get to choose which stamps you receive. I don't.
Are there specific stamps you want?
I strongly prefer U.S. postage stamps and any stamps picturing landscapes, but I will generally accept whatever you have to offer. I don't have a formal "want list" prepared, but if a particular stamp is not offered in the trading post, I can use it.
May I send more than one copy of the same stamp in trade?
I prefer to see at least a bit of variety, but yes, I will accept multiple copies of the same stamp.
Where do I send my trades?
After receiving your request, I'll send an e-mail with instructions. Once your trades arrive, I'll mail the stamps you requested.
