This collection got its start in the early 1990's. I don't know exactly why I began collecting, but once Aunt Donna sent some stamps--including a sheet of Elvis stamps from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a place I didn't know existed--I was hooked.
My "habit" has grown from that point. The stamps take up about 20 three-ring binders, plus a couple of small boxes for unwieldy items and material I've not yet had time to sort.
Although I have stamps from a number of different countries, my main focus is U.S. postage. In a slightly more specialized vein, I'm trying to find on-cover examples of the 14¢ American Indian of 1922-32. In addition, I've taken an interest in U.S. and worldwide stamps picturing landscapes.
Because many recognized varieties show only very minor differences, this gallery in general is concerned only with showing one example of each design unless there's an obvious difference.
